The poverty in the slums and the drunkenness of men, which often goes with it, means that activities promoting economic independence for women are very important. Trust is running 15 sewing classes for women above eighteen years old. The educational qualification required to take admission in this class should be at least 4th standard passed. This is a one-year course which is recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra.
