Enabling the most marginalized children to access quality education and prospects for a better future, plus other related objectives from SDGs, Indian Government policy and T.B.M.S.G. Policy

Bahujan Hitaya Boys Hostel in Lohagaon was established in 1984 as the first hostel of our trust. It provides accommodation for 78 students annually, mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds such as orphans, single-parent households, and lower castes like SC, ST, OBC, NT, DNT, and VJNT. These students entirely come from rural areas with limited resources.

We are very much grateful to the Social welfare Department Government of Maharashtra, Karuna Trust U.K., and individual donors for their generous support. Thanks to their contributions, we offer free lodging and board. Additionally, we have an annual calendar of activities that includes tutoring in English, mathematics, and science. We conduct quarterly exams to monitor educational progress.

We also organize competitions, workshops, programs, and training to foster intellectual and emotional development.

Most students stay with us for a maximum of five years. As a result of our efforts, 1674 students in challenging circumstances have pursued education and achieved remarkable success. Among them are doctors, engineers, businessmen, and individuals with dignified livelihoods. This positive transformation has had a lasting impact on their families as well.
